The Parish of Kilcronaghan, Ballynascreen and Sixtowns is seeking to appoint a new Rector to succeed Rev Rosie Diffin, who moved to Ballymena Parish last April.

  • Kilcronaghan 165 Households & 400 Individuals
  • Ballynascreen 22 Households & 59 Individuals

Situated at the foot of the Sperrins in Mid-Ulster, these predominantly rural parishes extend around the towns of Tobermore and Draperstown and benefit from a modern rectory located in an attractive rural setting outside Tobermore.

A range of parish and community organisations exist currently, with an openness to expanding into men’s ministry and other outreach projects.

This active group seeks to appoint a Rector who is:

  • a spirit led preacher, faithful to the scriptures in sharing the good news of the Gospel to build up the faith and discipleship of the parishioners and wider community
  • motivated to build upon the existing strengths of the Parish Group
  • an innovator who is pastorally minded
  • willing to lead worship that is both traditional and relevant to all ages, with reader assistance if required. There is a morning service, weekly, in both churches and an evening service in Kilcronaghan, with occasional evening services in Ballynascreen
  • willing to build a strong community within the parishes and the various churches in the area.

Expressions of interest or further details,

Ven Robert Boyd, Archdeacon of Derry ( e-mail: robert449@btinternet.com )

The closing date for applications is Thursday 26th November, 4pm.
