Glendermott Parish Church’s eagerly anticipated ‘Flower Festival with a Difference’ has finally opened and its clergy and parishioners are inviting visitors to walk ‘Down Memory Lane’ from Friday 31st May until Sunday 2nd June.
The church has been transformed for the weekend and is ready to whisk people away on a magical journey from the Garden of Eden in the entrance porch to the Gates of Heaven at the front of the church. In between, there is a variety of floral exhibits to enchant and delight both young and old.
Glendermott’s Rector, Rev Robert Boyd, was busy escorting visitors between church and parish hall where mouth-watering cream teas were being enjoyed. Group catering is available by contacting May Boyd at 028 71343001 (dial 0044 28 71343001 from the Republic of Ireland).
The church will be open until 7pm on Friday, from 11am-7pm on Saturday, and from 2-7pm on the Sunday.
